Refrigerated Services


At Cannonball Express, our over-the-road fleet consists of 50 Power Units, operated by skilled owner-operators who specialize in the LTL (Less Than Truckload) delivery business. Our team is dedicated to providing efficient and reliable shipping solutions tailored to your needs.

Service Area and Freight Collection

We currently gather freight from a 250-mile radius around Omaha, allowing us to serve a wide range of clients effectively. Our logistics process is designed for efficiency, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. 

Order and Routing Schedule 

  • Order Submission: We encourage our customers to submit orders by Wednesday of each week.
  • Routing Process: On Thursday, our team meticulously routes the freight to optimize delivery schedules. 
  • Appointment Scheduling: By Friday, we finalize all delivery appointments for the following week. 

Pickup and Processing

Freight pickups occur on Thursday and Friday. Once collected, the freight is brought into our cross-dock facility, where it is sorted and reloaded on Friday and Saturday.

Delivery Timeline

Our streamlines operations ensure that freight is delivered by Wednesday of the following week. This schedule guarantees that your shipments arrive on time, every time. 

Geographic Coverage

We proudly service all points south and east of Nebraska. For deliveries to the western half of the country, we partner with The Junction, ensuring seamless service and reliable coverage across the nation.

At Cannonball Express, we know that strong relationships lead to exceptional service. We assign the same driver to deliver to the same area each week, fostering familiarity and enhancing communications between our drivers and receivers. 

Our drivers and staff receive thorough training to meet various customer requirements. 

Vented Bulkheads: Our trailers are equipped with vented bulkheads, enabling us to transport both fresh and frozen products. 

Pallet Jacks: Most of our drivers carry their own pallet jacks, allowing them to handle even the most difficult unloading scenarios with ease.
